Philippe Coutinho’s agent, Andrea Bertolucci, has dismissed stories suggesting that Atletico Madrid ace, Antoine Griezmann will substitute his shopper at Nou Camp this summer season’s switch window.
Griezmann, who has been closely linked with a transfer to Barcelona, on Tuesday confirmed that he’s leaving Atletico Madrid on the finish of the season.
The France worldwide wrote on his official Twitter web page: “After talking with [coach Diego Simeone], [CEO Miguel] Angel Gil Marin and with folks within the membership’s hierarchy, I wished to talk with you, the followers.
“You’ve got at all times proven me a number of love and I wished to be the primary to inform you that I’ve taken the choice to depart to see different issues and tackle different challenges.
“It’s been a troublesome path to take, however it’s what I really feel I would like.
“Thanks for everything during five fantastic years here, where I was able to win my first big trophies. There have been some incredible moments that I will always remember. You, the supporters, will always be in my heart.”
However reacting, Bertolucci, described the stories as ‘untrue,’ insisting that Griezmann is just not going to interchange Coutinho at Barca.
“It’s untrue that Griezmann is going to replace Philippe at Barcelona,” AS quoted Bertolucci as saying.
