The Ekiti Home of Meeting on Wednesday lifted the suspension positioned on its former Speaker, Mr Kola Oluwawole.
Different members reinstated throughout Wednesday’s plenary presided over by the Speaker, Adeniran Alagbada, included: former Deputy Speaker, Mr Segun Adewumi, Mr Abiola Jeje, (Ido/Osi 11), Mr Adesina Animasaun,(Ekiti West 11) and Mr Dare Pelemo (Ekiti East 11)
The reinstatement of the affected members adopted the adoption of the report of the Enchantment Panel Committee chaired by Chief Gboyega Aribisogan (Ikole 1)
The movement for the adoption of the report of the committee was moved by Aribisogan and seconded by Mr Sunday Akinniyi (Ikere 11), the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) studies.
Briefing newsmen shortly after plenary, Aribisogan, who can be the chief of the home, stated the lawmakers reabsorbed the affected members as a result of that they had earlier written letters of apology and confirmed regret.
NAN remembers that the Meeting had, someday in October 2018, impeached and suspended the previous speaker alongside 11 different members on the allegation of passage of the N10 billion Supplementary Funds of former Gov. Ayo Fayose.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) members within the spirit of affection have made it attainable for the profitable plenary sitting immediately for the reinstatement of the suspended Home members.
“Although, the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP) felt that the suspended members, who’re primarily from their occasion shouldn’t be reinstated due to the interior disaster, however APC members opposed that.
“The affected PDP members who had earlier written letters of apology are hereby reabsorbed,” Aribisogan stated.
